A1 - Beginner CoursesCan understand & use familiar everyday expressions & very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce self and others & can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows & things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

A2 - Intermediate CoursesCan understand sentences & frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple & routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

B1+ - Advanced CoursesCan understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

Refund Policy
This refund policy applies to Adult courses. All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. Tuition but not fees are refundable until the beginning of the second class (according to the German School Columbus school year calendar), as follows:

Payment Options
(Please do not send payment before filling out a registration form.) We strongly prefer checks OR payment via Zelle, since we do not pay any transaction fees on those! If not already printed on the check, please note the name of at least 1 registrant on the check - this helps us avoid confusion and match payments with registrations more quickly. If for some reason you are not able to pay by check or Zelle, please contact us ([email protected]) and we will email you an invoice to pay by credit or debit card. Courses meet once per week for 9 weeks unless otherwise noted.
The course fee is $250 for standard 9 week courses. Does not include registration fee.
